nghästparken. At first, I thought the name was somehow a play on the Swedish word ångest (anxiety), but I was completely wrong. :D Go check them out tomorrow!

Q: You have a very interesting band name. How did it come about?

A: There’s a park in Södermalm with the same name. The name just resonated with us.

Q: I’ve seen you wearing knight’s armor on your Instagram. Which king would you be willing to fight for?

A: I’m not really that into old monarchs and wars. I believe knights can find more and better purposes than fighting for others.

Q: Will you be wearing the armor at Fool’s Gold?

A: No, it’s a friend of ours who usually wears it, but he won’t be joining us this time.

Q: How does your music come about?

A: Yeah, that’s hard to say. It feels like it’s often a spontaneous impulse that sometimes turns into something pretty okay after a bit of working on it.

Q: Do you produce everything yourselves?

A: Yes, production is an important part of the creative process for us.

Q: If you could only bring one instrument with you into the woods, where you’d live for a summer, which one would you choose?

A: An acoustic guitar, or a laptop.

Q: Which other Swedish underground acts would you recommend checking out?

A: You thant, Mount Spegge, Mullvad, Isobel, Hund Begraven.
