Q: How did Thunder Tillman come into being in the first place?
A: Hatched from an egg on top of Hypno Mountain.
Q: Do you make your fantastic clothes yourself?
A: They are often gifts from the dream.
Q: Can pop and spirituality be combined?
A: Everything can be mixed, and preferably so.
Q: If you could create an instrument using only your mind, what would it look like?
A: An arched ray.
Q: How many countries have you played in?
A: 11, so far.
Q: What was the craziest gig you’ve ever played?
A: For a group of children at a summer camp in Vietnam, or at Dover Street Market Ginza. Though I suppose they are all a little crazy, really.
Q: If you were given, or forced to choose, a religion, which one would it be? Or would you start your own? And what would it be like?
A: Religion and coercion feel like the wrong way in, but Cao Đài is aesthetically appealing.
Q: Are you shamans?
A: I don’t think so, but we sometimes like to pretend that Pony is.
Q: How do you record your music? Do you produce everything yourselves?
A: Ourselves.
Q: What does the immediate future look like?
A: Bright and harmonious.
