Incest Brothers was formed one evening in August 1977, but the band was reshaped in September 1978 with several new members. The name was chosen in the punk tradition of finding something properly disgusting and obscene. Together with KSMB and Travolta Kids they contributed to the classic compilation “Bakverk 80”. Now Incest Brothers celebrates 50 years at Encore.
Fiendens Musik was founded in Lund in 1977 by Mats Zetterberg and Mats Bäcker. The band started as a cover band but quickly evolved when they began writing original material, inspired by early punk, pub rock and new wave. The debut single “En spark rätt i skallen” became their breakthrough, and the music was described as a fusion of Swedish prog and new punk – known for high tempo, clattering guitars, thundering saxophone and a stage show where the musicians literally fell over each other. The band released four singles and two albums, all produced by Dan Tillberg at Bellatrix, and played together with bands such as Ebba Grön, Dag Vag and Grisen Skriker.
His “Hasse” Edström was born in Sundbyberg and has over the years been one of the leading figures on the Swedish punk and alternative scene, with bands like Grisen Skriker, Farsta and Raketerna. Nowadays he plays with Underjorden.
Since Bishops is right next to Encore you don’t have to rush: arrive early, have a bite and a drink, and then just walk a few steps to the concert. If you want to be sure of getting a spot we recommend booking a table in advance, especially for popular concerts and on weekends.
