Köttgrottorna is the Järfälla band that never stopped. They started in 1983 by dressing up as girls and singing dirty lyrics in falsetto, and have been rehearsing in their rehearsal room in Järfälla every Tuesday ever since. The band has played hundreds of times in Sweden and our neighboring countries, and now they are kicking off a totally crazy weekend at Encore together with Krigsstigen and Sugar Rats.
Krigsstigen plays melodic punk from Stockholm, formed in 2023, and has toured extensively since the start. The music is built on two‑beat, melodic guitars and sharp pens that tackle injustices, arch‑knobs and fabric material. Live it is a joy‑pill of its kind that invites sing‑alongs, goofy dancing and raised fists.
Sugar Rats consists of three people who have been playing rock ’n’ roll as long as they can remember – a blend described as somewhere between Sex Pistols and AC/DC. The members have previously played in, among others, Shemales, Blasting Fondas and Sonic Farm. In 2022 they released a ten‑track mini‑album full of raucous rock ’n’ roll licks, and the band is considered one of the country’s most energetic and original within punk.
Since Bishops is right next to Encore you don’t have to rush: arrive early, have a bite and a drink, and then just walk a few steps to the concert. If you want to be sure of getting a spot we recommend booking a table in advance, especially for popular concerts and on weekends.
