Harbour Company makes its live debut at Nalen
For the first time Harbour Company brings its psychedelic British folk music to the stage. On Friday, November 13 the group will make its live debut at Nalen in Stockholm, with music inspired by life in north‑west England and a debut album around the corner. The evening is also hosted by Stockholm‑based Portable Dogs and William Wahlberg as support.
Drawing inspiration from life in the mining town of St Helens in north‑west England, twin brothers Fran and Martin Baxter, together with a few friends, play psychedelic British folk music with a modern twist.
Harbour Company’s debut album Woolyback Songs, slated for release in 2027, was produced in Stockholm by Rhys Edwards from Ulrika Spacek and features musical contributions from Edwards as well as Swedish musicians Karl Lundberg and Reine Fiske from Dungen. On Friday, November 13 Harbour Company makes its live debut at Nalen.
That night the Stockholm‑based trio Portable Dogs and artist William Wahlberg with friends also appear as support. Portable Dogs consist of Rupert Edwards, David Richardson and Swoopie, who create electronic music with pop elements. In August William Wahlberg released the debut album Self‑Titled, where the music is inspired by the late sixties and early seventies. The music can be described as art rock, among other things, but moves freely between several different genres.
