Terese Lien Evenstad Quintet released their new album Phoenix on Hoob Records in March. In September, the quintet brings the record to Fasching.
“…Phoenix is proof of how good jazz can sound when it’s truly allowed to express something.” – Borås Tidning
The group consists of award-winning jazz musicians creating modern Nordic jazz where raw intensity, cinematic soundscapes and tender, lyrical moments converge. With tours across India, Germany and Norway, and a nomination at Manifestgalan 2024 (Jazz of the Year), the band has established itself as one of the most exciting jazz acts in the Nordic region. Their music has been described as both poetic and radical. “A primal force of improvisational freedom,” wrote Opulens Musikmagasin.
Terese Lien Evenstad – violin
Alexander Ivarsson – clarinet
Fabian Kallerdahl – piano
Johan Birgenius – drums
Arvid Jullander – double bass
Cinematic, nature-inspired chamber jazz.
Celebrated New York jazz with Madrid roots.
The godfather of Krautrock and kosmische – live with von Hausswolff and Chaplin.
