The New York Times called Kurt Rosenwinkel a guitarist who can say more in a few lines of music than most manage over the course of an entire career. That quality defines The Remedy – recorded live at the Village Vanguard and released on Word of Mouth Records – an album that helped shape the sound of a generation with its fearless interplay and improvisational depth. Now they reunite on the Fasching stage: Rosenwinkel with saxophonist Mark Turner, pianist Aaron Goldberg, bassist Joe Martin, and this time Jeff “Tain” Watts on drums.
