After 30 years together, Östblocket continue to play with the same intensity, virtuosity and genuine joy. Rooted in folk music from the Balkans and Eastern Europe, the band has been a returning Fasching favourite for decades. Now they’re back for an anniversary concert.
The music moves between traditional songs in their original languages and original material with Swedish lyrics, with fiery brass arrangements, driving rhythms and strong collective energy at the core.
Thirty years in, the band keeps aging with accelerating ferocity. Dance, sweat and joy guaranteed!
Sofia Berg-Böhm – vocals
Filip Runesson – violin
Johan Ohlsson – accordion
Mathias Gunnarsson – trumpet
Anders Wallseth – trumpet
Fredrik Månsson – tenor horn
Erik Axelsson – tenor horn
Klas Ottosson – tuba
Daniel Pergament-Persson – percussion
Patrik Trankell – drums
Celebrated New York jazz with Madrid roots.
The godfather of Krautrock and kosmische – live with von Hausswolff and Chaplin.
Dreamlike, Bristol-bred jazz, trip hop and minimalism.
