Andi Almqvist + Dead In Love
Andi Almqvist is coming to Kollektivet Livet on October 4
Support: Dead In Love
With his dark, cinematic sound and lyrics about life, death, exclusion, and dysfunctional love, the singer, poet, songwriter, and illustrator Andi Almqvist is an artist who affects deeply. Now he's releasing his seventh solo album, "We're All Gonna Die But I Can Live With That" – the strangest and at the same time most well-produced album Andi has released, where themes of doom are mixed with a humor darker than Malevich's square.
Andi met the Norwegian producer and multi-instrumentalist Freddy Holm during a joint concert in Halden. Freddy soon invited Andi to his studio, and a magic was born that resulted in the new album.
Andi has toured Europe and the USA and performed at clubs and theaters around the world, as well as played at numerous festivals. In addition to his solo project, Andi Almqvist has played with, among others, Mark Lanegan, Woven Hand, Kaizers Orchestra, Holly Golightly, B.B. King, The Blind Boys of Alabama, and Bettye LaVette.
His music has ended up on the soundtracks of numerous films and TV series, including Thomas Vinterberg's Oscar-nominated film "The Hunt" and the acclaimed American series "Justified".
On stage, we meet a band of absolute top musicians:
The Norwegian Freddy Holm has worked with artists such as Taylor Swift and Madrugada and is known for his unique and genre-crossing music.
One of Sweden's most respected multi-instrumentalists, with collaborations with, among others, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, and Ann-Sofie von Otter.

Dead In Love
Dead in Love is a minimalist lofi duo from Göteborg consisting of Dan Andreasson and Jennifer Lander. With shared influences from, among others, The Kills and PJ Harvey, Dead in Love creates music where dark and screeching guitars and foot drums take center stage. Not overcomplicating things and letting the songs be born spontaneously is the working method, which has resulted in several acclaimed singles. Now they're coming to Kollektivet Livet!
