Baskery

Expect "banjopunk", "newfolk", and "nordicana" – an energetic live show and hair-raisingly sharp sibling harmonies! Baskery consists of Greta, Stella, and Sunniva Bondesson. Since their start in 2008, they have released five full-length albums and successfully toured all over the world. No matter where the Swedish sisters perform, audiences claim they have never seen or heard anything like it – that Baskery has a completely unique setup and performs with what seems to be an inexhaustible energy.Baskery is all about turning music on its head, blending the straightforwardness and fearlessness of punk with the subtle and delicate nuances of the singer-songwriter tradition. They have been handpicked as support acts for artists like Gary Clark Jr, Robbie Williams, and Brandi Carlile, and have performed at a long list of Swedish and major international festivals. A few notable examples include Peace and Love (SE), Storsjöyran (SE), Tønder Festival (DK), Glastonbury (UK), SXSW (USA), and Calgary Folk Festival (CAN).In 2023, Baskery released their fifth original album, ‘V: End of the Bloodline’. The record is the result of focused and inspired work in a secluded studio in the English countryside, alongside producer Sean Lakeman (The Levellers, Billy Bragg, among others). ‘V: End of the Bloodline’ offers a versatile soundscape, where each track has been given its own unique tailoring. The common thread lies in the musical craftsmanship and the vocal harmonies. On ’The Young Sessions – live to tape’, released at the end of 2024, Baskery interprets 11 songs by Neil Young. The album reflects the band's deep love for the Canadian's treasure trove of songs and their instinctive understanding of his musical expression.Baskery is:GRETA BONDESSON – banjitar, guitars, drums, and vocalsSTELLA BONDESSON – double bass & vocalsSUNNIVA BONDESSON – electric guitar, acoustic guitar & vocalsDiscography:The Young Sessions – live to tape (2024)V: End of the Bloodline (2023)Coyote & Sirens (2018)Little Wild Life (2013/2014)New Friends (2011)Fall Among Thieves (2009)One Horse Down EP (2007)Fb event: https://fb.me/e/ecbcH8DJtDoors: 18:30.
