Selam Festival Stockholm proudly presents together with Café Klotet Kankurang, a musical duo that unites the Kenyan DJ and producer Jinku with the Gambian drummer Kebba.
Together they explore the meeting of traditional Kenyan soundscapes, Gambia's pulsating rhythms, and contemporary Swedish electronic music.
Kankurang is a living example of how music can bridge borders and create new forms of cultural expression.
The DJ collective Diaspora was born from a simple truth – music has no passport. Since 2022 the founders Mansa, JZMN and Lil Shiit have introduced global sounds and club culture to Sweden and created dance floors where influences from around the world meet.
