JADED EDGE is a German‑Swedish melodic metal band that has been active since 1994. The band was formed in Duisburg and quickly established itself on the melodic metal and hard‑rock scene through a steady stream of releases and an active live schedule.
A key step in the band’s development came in 2005 when Swedish vocalist Johan Fahlberg joined. The first album with this lineup, Helluva Time, marked the start of a new phase for Jaded Heart and was praised for its songwriting and energetic production. The following year, 2006, the band was further strengthened by the addition of Swedish guitarist Peter Östros.
In the years that followed Jaded Heart released several well‑received albums, including Sinister Mind (2007) and Perfect Insanity (2009). The band’s tenth studio album, Common Destiny (2012), helped boost its international profile and led to tours outside Europe, including Japan.
The band continued to evolve after lineup changes in 2014, when guitarist Masahiro Eto and drummer Bodo Stricker joined. During this period Jaded Heart remained active on the European live circuit, taking part in tours and festival dates alongside established acts. The albums Guilty By Design (2016) and Devil’s Gift (2018) showed a more modern direction, with Devil’s Gift also entering the German metal charts.
In 2022 the band released Heart Attack, which featured collaborations with external songwriters and demonstrated that Jaded Heart still focuses on melodic and powerful songwriting.
The band is currently working on new material and plans to release a new studio album in 2026.

Jimmy, Niklas and Magnus have been playing together since 1993 and the trio has grown into an experienced and energetic live band with over three decades of combined stage experience – something that shows in every performance through joy of playing, professionalism and reliable delivery.
